Ernie Wilkes, Jr.
CEO |
Ernest Wilkes, Jr. – a.k.a. “Big Ernie” – is a South Carolina native. After attending college at the University of South Carolina, in the late 1970s Big Ernie relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina and has been a fixture in the community ever since. He is an active community supporter and even ran for the Wake County School Board.
This father of 3 daughters and 1 son proudly holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from the North Carolina Wesleyan College – Class of 1988. Besides being the executive of the company, Big E’s construction expertise extends to residential mechanical systems.
If not with his grand children or family, Big E spends the majority of his free time enjoying: classic movies, politics and current events, bass fishing (Okay, any fish will do), and home maintenance projects for his wife. |
Trina Wilkes-O'Carroll
CFO |
Spending most of her childhood in Raleigh, Trina Wilkes is a graduate of Broughton High School and proudly holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Appalachian State University – Class of 1994. GO MOUNTAINEERS
After college, Trina relocated to New York City for a career in finance. After 7 years in the field, she then made a successful career switch – owning, operating, and eventually selling a retail store in Scarsdale, New York. This accomplished CPA is a welcome addition to the EW-GC family and oversees the company finances.
When this wife and mother of two is not overseeing EW-GC finances, Trina runs a small financial consulting firm, TWO Consulting LLC, based from her home in Riverside, Connecticut. In her free time – wait – Trina, as a mother of two toddlers, has no “free” time……whatsoever.

Ernie Wilkes, III
COO |
Also a Raleigh native and Broughton graduate, Ernest Wilkes III – a.k.a. “Little e” or “e3” – proudly holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – class of 2003. GO HEELS.
After college, e3 pursued a graduate degree in psychology from UNC part-time before becoming a full-time member of EW-GC. Now “the man on the ground,” e3 enlarges more homes than egos.
Since becoming a full-time member of the company, e3 has continued his formal construction education through local college courses in both North Carolina and Connecticut. His educational pursuits have centered around increasing his skills in a way that will enhance our ability to complete your project with the highest level of expertise possible, such as: Rough Framing and Carpentry; Residential Cost Estimation; Residential Home Inspection; and Fine Woodworking. E3 is also studying Spanish in order to help him communicate with our growing Hispanic population. | |
